Robert Grant Bruce is a Boston-based violist whose work explores various styles and genres within the musical spectrum, while also looking for ways to move beyond the stereotype of a "classical musician."
Robert performs as a violist in various settings ranging from traditional orchestras and chamber ensembles to recording film scores, premiering new works, and participating in interdisciplinary collaborations. Robert's dedication to working outside the traditional western classical music canon is exemplified by his exploration of music by composers such as Osvaldo Golijov, David Bruce, Andrew Gretzinger, & Amber (Mofan) Dai.
